Movies on the Quincy Green will return for the end of summer Hancock tradition. The first showing will take place tonight, on the Green around dusk. The movie series will kick off the screenings with a special date night theme showing the movie, Ticket to Paradise, from 2022. The romantic comedy stars George Clooney opposite Julia Roberts, as a divorced couple who team up to sabotage their daughter’s Bali wedding. Ticket to Parades was nominated for the Peoples Choice Award for Comedy Movie of 2022, Julia Roberts also earned a nomination at the Peoples Choice Awards for Comedy Movie Star of 2022. Tonight’s showing of Ticket to Paradise is PG-13, and is expected to start around 9:40pm.
Due to inclement weather please keep an eye on the city of Hancock’s facebook page and other social media, for any potential updates or changes to the event. City officials say that they plan to watch the weather forecast, and will make a final decision this evening and will post an update to the city’s social media accounts. IF the event is cancelled tonight for rain, Hancock plans to reschedule Movies on the Green to tomorrow night.
