SUV catches fire in Hancock Monday evening

A vehicle caught fire on Front Street in Hancock Monday evening while idling at the stop sign where M-26 intersects US-41 on the north end of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. Hancock Police say no cause has been determined for the incident. An investigation by the owner’s auto insurance company is ongoing. Hancock Fire Department could not be reached for comment.
