A male suspect is in custody and is receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a shoot-out with MSP troopers in Marquette County. At approximately 7 p.m. yesterday, Michigan State Police Hometown Security team troopers were involved in a shooting with a male suspect wanted on a felony warrant. The troopers were attempting to arrest the suspect during a traffic stop on US-41 in Marquette county when the shooting occurred. Troopers were able to provide first aid to the suspect before he was transported to UP health systems for treatment. No troopers were injured in the incident, and the case remains under investigation.
