With an engineering college, several high school robotics clubs, and many high-tech companies located in the copper country. It’s no wonder that the Keweenaw’s residents have a large interest in learning about stem fields and emerging technologies. Soon enough the region will see the return of a fun community event that celebrated its inaugural outing in 2023.
Maker Fest will return to Houghton High School in March. Put on by the Superior Fab lab, Makers Fest brings the entire Copper Country together for creativity, innovation community spirit centered around math and science. Makers Fest highlights the region’s many creative and talented people who aim to innovate. Throughout the event, there will be presentations and demonstrations, a series of featured makers, and several competitions. The Superior Fab Labs’ Makers Fest 2024 will take place at the Houghton High School on March 23rd.
