Calumet Post Michigan State Police troopers are partnering Louie’s Market in Lake Linden to stuff a blue goose. A annual tradition for many of the state police posts, “stuff a blue goose”, refers to the agency’s yearly food drive. From 10 am to 1 pm tomorrow, those hoping to help the state police feed the local area, can purchase twelve dollar bag of groceries, that hold double the value in non perishable food items, that is then donated to a local food pantry. In years past the calumet post has dropped off donations to the CLK food pantry, St. Paul Church pantry, St Vincent de Paul, and Salvation Army in Hancock. Each “grab bag” of non perishables purchased will also include a voucher for one pound of fresh ground beef from Louie’s Market in Lake Linden.
