A fire in downtown Lake Linden Sunday night has damaged multiple buildings. At approximately 11 pm, first responders reported to a structure fire at 207 Calumet Street in Lake Linden. Fire crews from several local fire departments reported to the scene, and worked through the night to control the blaze. In all, the fire severely damaged two buildings, and appears to have damaged a third. Crews returned to the site Monday afternoon for reports of hot spots in the area. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. On other information has been released to the public at this time. We hope to continue this story as it develops.
