Sparkplug Awards are Just One Week Away

In just one week, a crowd will gather at the memorial union building on Michigan Tech’s Campus, to award the Keweenaw Peninsula’s Sparkplugs. After much careful consideration, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce, and their partners, recently announced the nominees for this year’s awards; Narrowing the field down to 100 candidates for the eight categories.

“People are excited for that night of networking, good food and entertainment. The room is full of good energy and atmosphere. And people are excited to be recognized for their efforts throughout the year. We have eight different categories. We’ve had a lot of good growth in our area. There was a lot of good customer service and projects of the year, there are multiple nominees for those categories.” – Katie Schlief, Chamber Representative, Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce

Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce representative, Katie Schlief says that tickets are going fast. And the community does not want to miss highlighting the incredible efforts made in the copper country during the past year. The sparkplug awards will begin at 530 pm March 2^nd.
