South Boundary Road Work Expected to Last Three Weeks

The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park has begun road construction on the South boundary road. Yesterday crews began road maintenance work on South Boundary Road, that connects each end of the park,. The construction lasts for three miles from the Union Spring Trailhead to the Lost Creek Outpost.

Motorists traveling on the South Boundary Road should expect one lane of alternating traffic. The park expects work will last up to three weeks. At this time the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park asks visitors to plan trips accordingly and apologizes for the inconvenience. Those interested in learning more about the south boundary road construction project can find more details here.
