Small Business Saturday Shows off the Copper Country’s Strong Small Business Economy

While big box stores will take Friday shopping deals for the holiday season. Saturday around the country will focus on those businesses that have a larger direct impact on local economies. In the Copper Country, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce is proud to work with a large number of small business owners to make Small Business Saturday one not to miss.

“the strength that is seen coming from this coupon booklet is that even we have 70 plus coupons in this booklet. So this community strives for success in business throughout the holiday season. And small business Saturday does kick off that holiday season and we’re here to support that.” Katie Schlief

There for more than 70 businesses in the Keweenaw Peninsula taking part in the chamber’s small business Saturday festivities. Ahead of the holiday shopping, the chamber collected coupons from those businesses to put into a convenient-to-use coupon book. Which includes deals ranging from local clothing shops to restaurants.

“Just a little bit of everything from your services to your restaurants, to your small businesses. So I’m excited about the booklet. So make sure you stop out on Saturday this Saturday, November 25th. We will be hosting a welcome station where these booklets will be available.” Katie Schlief

Those planning to do a little shopping on Saturday to support the local economy can pick up a coupon book from the chamber’s office in Houghton. The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce will have a table, snacks, and drinks available from 9 am until 11 am on Saturday. Find more details here.
