Single Lane Closure on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge Scheduled for Tuesday

The Michigan Department of Transportation will return to the area tomorrow. MDOT crews are continuing inspection work from the department’s elevator replacement and false decking project. The 4.3 million dollar infrastructure project completed earlier this year ensures the Portage Lake Lift Bridge’s continued safe and reliable operation to motor vehicle and marine traffic. Tomorrow the northbound outside lane will be closed to traffic during daytime hours. The northbound sidewalk will remain closed. Pedestrians crossing the bridge should use the southbound sidewalk.
