Several injured in Quincy Township crash

Michigan State Police and Houghton County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to a crash Friday evening just after six. A sport utility vehicle was rear ended by a pickup truck at the intersection of US 41 and French Town Road in Quincy Township.

There was one person in the truck. The 16-year-old driver was not hurt. Three individuals from the SUV were taken by Mercy Ambulance to UP Health Systems – Portage, including the 54-year-old driver, who resides in Florida. Also requiring treatment were a 61-year-old woman and an 87-year-old woman from the area.

US-41 was not closed, but traffic control was required at the scene. Assisting were Houghton City Police Department, Superior Service, and Dave’s Towing.
