Serving The Copper Country for 150 Years- A Brief History of IncredibleBank in Calumet and Houghton.

IncredibleBank has branches that have been open in the Keweenaw for a century and a half. 

“We were established in 1873 as Merchants and Miners Bank in Calumet, Michigan. Throughout those years we expanded through different mergers and acquisitions. We absorbed other institutions, and eventually we became First of America – Copper Country, and then in 2004 we were purchased by River Valley Bank. They purchased 7 of our locations, National City, and now we are still with the same owners of IncredibleBank with locations in both Houghton and Calumet.” Jamie Thyrion, Market Manager for IncredibleBank- Copper Country.

The branches are excited to celebrate this historical milestone with the community, and will be offering cake and coffee at their locations in Houghton and Calumet tomorrow.
