Michigan Tech’s Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts will look like its old self again Saturday night, at least partially. For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person attendance will be allowed in a limited manner. The Don Keranen Memorial Jazz Concert will still be streamed virtually at the website or via Facebook for those who feel more comfortable with that format.
To enjoy the sounds of New Orleans-inspired Big Brass bands, you first have to submit an online form to the MTU Ticket Office. The document asks for your name and each member of your party to help facilitate with contact tracing. Once they can see what demand looks like, they can then begin to lay out a seating arrangement and send you a bill if the event has a cost attached to it.
Spring marks the end of the Rozsa’s traditional season. The hope is for more normal attendance later this year.
