The Board of state Canvassers will meet today and is expected to certify the petition to legalize the adult use of cannabis for Michigan’s 2018 general election. More than 365,000 signatures are on the petition that was submitted to the Secretary of State in November of 2017. The state elections staff has determined this week that those petitions contained more than 277,000 valid signatures and are more than enough needed to qualify for the ballot placing the issue of recreational marijuana use in the hands of the voters in the upcming November election.
