Houghton Community Broadcasting’s 12 dogs of Christmas have wrapped up. And the community is only about a week away from the Raise the Woof Comedy show. This year the Rozsa center will fill with laughs. It will also fill with supporters helping the Copper Country Humane Society celebrate 50 years in the Keweenaw peninsula.
“CCHS is turning 50 years old, so we are going to have a dinner before the show. You can get your tickets online, just check out our website, CCHumaneSociety.com. It’s going to be a little Italy-themed. And there will be an auction basket sweepstakes with all sorts of fun stuff. It should be a really good time.” Rebecca Brink, Assistant Manager, Copper Country Humane Society
Rick Logan will open the stage for Raise the Woof. And Jeff Pfoser plans to burst your gut as this year’s headliner. Those planning to attend the Little Italy dinner before the comedy show on January 20th can purchase tickets online. Tickets for the dinner only cost 30 dollars. Dinner and the show will cost 50 dollars a seat. Those interested in only attending the comedy show can purchase tickets for 20 dollars. Doors will open at the Rozsa center at 6 pm. Doors open for Raise the Woof, following dinner, at 7:30 pm.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the 12 Dogs of Christmas and Raise the Woof while we all raise funds to support the Copper Country Humane Society. Two pups have been adopted so far, and the humane society has more friends ready to come home with you. Consider meeting the pets outside of the 12 dogs we’ve met recently, volunteering with the shelter, or donating to the organizations directly.
We’d also like to thank all of this year’s sponsors for supporting the 12 Dogs of Christmas radio program and helping to share our pets’ stories; U.P. Coins, Superior Properties, Ferrel Gas, Pepsi of Houghton, UPward Orthodontics, Koppers, Erickson Feed Seed and Pet Supply, Toucan Auto, Gasoline Alley, Martin Custom and Collision, and Swift Hardware of Houghton.
