Queen City Running Co. Opening a Sister Store in the Copper Country

The Copper Country Running Company, plans to open their doors in downtown Houghton. The store will specialize in running equipment, and shoes, even offering options for athletes at the high school and collegiate levels. Queen City Running Co.’s General Manager, Paige Dubois, says the plan is to have the Copper Country Running Co. hit the ground running, with new races and events to help grow and sustain the running community in the Keweenaw. Last fall, Dubois added, they began looking at expanding into the area, for Houghton County’s growth, and they wanted to offer a location closer to home for some of their customers; who had previously made day trips to their storefront in Marquette. The new business plans to hold a group run on September 15th to get to know more of the running community in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
