Queen Bee’s Knees launches 96.3 Houghton’s Breeze in the Copper Country

Morgan Murphy Media announces the newest listening experience to come across airwaves in the Keweenaw. Recently the home of 97.7 the Wolf, 102.3 K-BEAR, and 99.3 the Lift, launched its newest radio station, Lite 96.3 Houghton’s Breeze, WHBS. After Christmas it will feature five decades of the greatest soft pop sounds. Until then, as a special present, holiday tunes will fill the airwaves 24/7.

Market Manager Jeff Harju said, “We’re excited to have 96.3 Houghton’s Breeze on the air, providing another great source of entertainment and community information for the Keweenaw. Thanks to our staff in Houghton for their hard work leading up to this, and Morgan Murphy Media for their support. The wait is over.”

Operations Manager Kevin Ericson, “It has been a thrill to onboard the newest listening experience in the Copper Country. We hope you’ll make Houghton’s Breeze your music tradition for Christmas every year, plus continue to enjoy our soft sound come the end of the year. We will add features to the station’s programming as we bring the best local radio entertainment to the Keweenaw Peninsula.”

96.3 Houghton’s Breeze is the latest addition to the Copper Country’s premiere radio station home, Queen Bee’s Knees, a subsidiary of Morgan Murphy Media. WHBS will continue to feature Queen Bee’s Knees’ Keweenaw Report news and sports broadcasts, What’s Happening community calendar updates, and funeral announcements.
