The Portage Lake District Library will be closed tomorrow and Wednesday. However, events and programs will begin almost as soon as the New Year.
The Portage Lake District Library has two events happening later this week.
On Friday, the library will host the kickoff party for the winter reading program. During the party, attendees will enjoy coffee and baked goods and learn more about the program from library staff.
Then on Saturday, the library will host the first BASIC Computer assistance program of 2025. Over the years the Portage Lake District library has assisted residents of the Copper Country with computer issues with the help of students from Michigan Tech. Throughout the academic year, students are available to assist with challenges for Windows and apple operating systems on a variety of devices.
