Portage Lake District Library Offers Spring Break Activities to Area Kids

Now that area schools are officially on spring break, families may look for ways to keep kids busy and learning. All this week the Portage Lake District Library will offer School’s Out activities for kids to have fun. Each event will start at 2 pm this week, with the first activity starting today making friendship bracelets. Tuesday gets kids unplugged from the TV and video games for the Unplugged Coding Game Day. Wednesday’s Race Through Fun will take kids outside rain or shine. Then Thursday children can learn classic string games like Cat’s Cradle and Elastic Band Jump. On Friday join the library for Storytime with School-age Friends.

Preschool story time at the Portage Lake District Library will take place on Wednesday and Thursday for a special April Fool’s Day tale.

A final event with the library for kids starts with the Japanese Club and an animated movie night on Thursday at 5 pm.
