Because of the pier project in Houghton the library will have to make adjustments. The Portage Lake District Library will close their front entrance until further notice, due to the work on the pier project in down town Houghton. People going to the library will need to enter the building at the west end entrance, near the lower level of the parking deck. The library also ask that those with book drop offs do so at the front desk. The library will continue to operate their curbside pick-up service during this time. The library will also close on October 1st for some utility work; they will reopen on October 2nd. Portage Lake District Library apologizes for any inconvenience. Please contact the library at 482-4570 or info@pldl.org with any questions or concerns.
