Portage Health Auxiliary seeks support for the Lights of Love in December

Even though Halloween hasn’t come yet, some people are already thinking about the happiest time of the year.

Recently the Portage Health Auxiliary announced details for this year’s Lights of Love Ceremony on December 5th. The Light of Love decorates a Christmas tree in the Upper Peninsula Health Systems Portage hospital and hosts a ceremony inviting the community to honor the memory of those that have past. During the Lights of Love, attendees may donate to the Portage Health Auxiliary and support the organization’s mission to serve the health and well-being of the elderly and youth in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties through grants to nonprofits, and medical education scholarships.

As the Portage Health Auxiliary prepares for the lights of love the organization seeks donations to support the event and prepares the banner that attendees will write their memorials upon. Donation forms are available at the Guilded Rose Gift Shop inside the hospital lobby. Those interested in learning more about the Portage Health Auxiliary Lights of Love in December can find more details here.
