Plans are quickly falling into place for Hancock’s big celebration of summer. There are plenty of fun games for both kids and adults. Hancock DDA coordinator Todd Gast, says that people coming out on Saturday can expect all of the fun the city has during Key Ingredients, just for a whole day, rather than a single evening.
With much of the fun taking place along Quincy Street downtown, the city wants to make sure everyone is safe and has a good time. Hancock will expand its police presence downtown on Saturday, to help large groups of people cross the road.
“We’re not closing down Quincy Street. But we are asking everyone to be very careful. To slow down. There is going to be a lot of people out. We’re going to have a police presence to help slow down traffic for large groups of people crossing over.” – Todd Gast, DDA Coordinator, City of Hancock
The end-of-summer celebration could not happen without incredible volunteers to help set up Quincy Green, run the kids games and bouncy house.
“And if you are able to volunteer, and would love to do some community service here in Hancock. We really would love to have you. We’ve got most of our volunteers. And we would love to have them work the kids.” – Todd Gast, DDA Coordinator, City of Hancock
Sign up for the pickleball and cornhole tournaments on Saturday are filling up fast. Gast says the city is looking for a few more teams to help round out the tournament brackets. Those interested in getting involved with end of summer celebration, please contact Todd Gast with the city of Hancock.
