PHF Inaugural Family BBQ on Sunday in Chassell

This Sunday the portage Health Foundation is inviting the community out for another beautiful summer Copper Country day, with a little Inaugural Family BBQ. Portage Health Foundation’s Michael Babcock hopes to shed light on the great work and many projects the foundation has been a part of. The picnic will feature a pop up farmers market, various non profit’s sharing information on services, and of course all the staple BBQ classics, cooked up by the foundation that lives to serve the community.

In total we have nearly 40 organizations that are going to be part of this. I think there’s going to be seven farmers for the pop up farmers market. We’ve got the Chassell Lion’s Club, the Chassell VFW, the Chassell Fire Department will be here. But it’s not just Chassell organizations it’s others, that serve the entire Copper Country. If you’re from anywhere in the Copper Country we invite you to come out and enjoy a great time. – Michael Babcock. Marketing and Comm. Director, Portage Health Foundation

Today may look gray and cloudy, but the weather sure looks to get better into Sunday. And make for another perfect summer weekend in the Upper Peninsula. Join the Portage Health Foundation this Sunday, as they invite the community to come out and celebrate the service of all the copper country non profits, with a BBQ at Centennial Park in Chassell. The PHF Inaugural Family BBQ will start on Sunday at noon.
