Pennsylvania man kills one, wounds another in Marenisco

At around 1:15 AM Christmas Eve a 30-year-old Pennsylvania man allegedly shot two men at a cabin in Marenisco, killing one. Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigative agency, and put out a press release on the incident detailing the charges.

Nicholas Millard of Spring Mills, Pennsylvania faces four felony charges including first degree murder, assault with intent to murder, and using a gun while committing a crime. If convicted, Millard could be looking at life behind bars without the opportunity for parole. He was arrested without incident by law enforcement after the initial shootings took place.

49-year-old Thomas Fletcher of Marenisco was declared dead at the scene. The other victim was 22-year-old Austin Fletcher of Irvine, California. He was transported to Aspirus Ironwood, shuttled to a Duluth, Minnesota hospital, and eventually released following treatment.
