Pasty Fest is August 21st

An online announcement was snuck out on July 3rd that Pasty Fest is returning this year after a COVID-19 induced hiatus. The date has been confirmed as Saturday, August 21st, but few other details were released at the time.

This week, some of those morsels are trickling out and it is enough to make your mouth water. The pasty eating contest is back and vendors are being encouraged to enroll to have a stand near the intersection of 5th and Scott Streets from noon to 4:00 PM. Food, organization, and non-profit stands are all welcome. Registration fees depend on the type of stand being set up and they range from $20 up to $50. More information here.

Main Street Calumet’s Pasty Fest page simply says, “More events will be posted as they are confirmed.” Expect announcements in the coming weeks.
