Parents may remember fellow students sneaking out to smoke a cigarette in high school. Today’s students are confronted with a different way of ingesting nicotine. Next week the Copper Country Great Start Collaborative, UP Kids, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will invite Michigan state Trooper Nahri from the Calumet Post to share information about the rise of vaporized tobacco products, and the potential impacts on health. The presentation geared toward families will take place at the Hancock High School next Monday. The event is free to attend, and no registration is required. A virtual option will be set up for those unable to attend in person. Those interested in attending the UP Kids, and Copper Country Great Start collaborative presentation to Talk to Our Children about Vaping should contact Dana Mun for a copy of the Zoom link, or more information.
The presentation will begin at 5:30 pm at the Hancock High School on May 20th.
