Parades and Fireworks Start Today In Keweenaw

Independence day activities are occurring throughout the nation starting today and tomorrow. Local festivities are no exception, with some activities having started on the weekend. Parades and fireworks are the long-awaited event leading up to July 4th. See the schedule for parades and firework shows below:

Today (July 3rd):

  • 12pm – Dollar Bay will begin their parade at noon, which is followed by family games at pioneer park.
  • 7pm – Michigamme’s boat parade 
  • Dusk – Twin lakes’ lighted boat parade.
  • Dusk – fireworks in Lake Linden, and fireworks over the lake in Michigamme.

Tomorrow (July 4th):

  • 9:30am – Eagle Harbor parade
  • 9:30 am – Lake Linden parade
  • 10am – Mohawk’s children’s parade
  • 10 am- Copper Harbor parade
  • 10:30am – Hubbell parade
  • 11am – Trap Rock valley will hold their parade at Angman Road
  • 11am – Michigamme parade
  • 12pm – Dollar Bay parade 
  • 2pm – South Range parade
  • 2pm (roughly) – Gay’s spontaneous parade
  • Dusk – firework shows will begin in Copper Harbor, in Gay at the Dockside Resort, in Greenland, and in South Range.
