Applications are open for this summer’s Ottawa National Forest Youth Conservation Corp. The program accomplishes conservation projects on public lands, and employs young men and women interested in environment and conservation careers. Positions with the Youth Conservation Corp will work within offices across the forest including the Kenton Ranger district, Ontonagon Ranger District, and Watersmeet Ranger District offices. Applicants for the national forest services youth conservation corp must be between ages 15 and 18. The youth conservation corp is active from June 19th to august 11th this year. Students interested in joining the program this summer will need to apply for the corp through their school guidance counselor or directly at the Watersmeet Ranger District office.
