Operation Copper Country Active Duty

American Legion Post 186 is bringing Christmas joy to active service members around the Copper Country. Part of the funding for Operation Copper Country Active Duty will come from the Legion Post’s participation in Tadych’s Community Care Program. The remaining balance for the gifts given will come from donation sites set up throughout the area. Donated gifts can be dropped off to the Peterson Chiropractic in Hancock. Suggested gifts are all things UP apparel, reading material, non-perishable snacks and playing cards. If you want to surprise an active duty service member and add their name to the Legion Post’s list please contact Deb Guilbault, her information will be below along side a list of donation sites. The American Legion Post 186 and Operation Copper Country Active Duty want to spread joy to all active service men and women in the area.

Donation containers can be found at:

Krupp’s Mini Mart in Twin Lakes, Festival Foods, Suomi Restaurant, Surplus Outlet and B&B Bar in Houghton and Pat’s Foods, Gino’s Restaurant, WMPL/WKMJ Radio Station, Kaleva Café and Peterson Chiropractic in Hancock.
