Feeding America’s mobile food pantry in Ontonagon will arrive to town early next week for the month of September. Typically beginning at noon, the mobile food pantry will start one hour earlier, at 11 am. The Ontonagon mobile food pantry has served the communities of Ontonagon County for several years thanks to the partnership between Copper Shores Community Health Foundation, the Ontonagon Area Schools District, and the Ontonagon Volunteer Fire Department. While visiting the mobile food pantry individuals will not need to show identification. However, Feeding America does ask for contact information to keep track of regional data and analyze the program’s impact. Then, in October, the mobile food pantry is scheduled for the final pick-up for the year. The mobile food pantry September 4th will arrive at the Ontoangon Village Fire Department, at 315 River Street, at 11 am.
