Omega House Invites Dr. Yan Ciupak to talk about grieving

Grieving the loss of a loved one is hard on anyone. Tomorrow the Omega House will host a special presentation on Grief and healing with a keynote speaker from Northern Michigan University.

Doctor Yan Ciupak will lead the Transforming Grief: The Spiral Journey of Grieving and Healing tomorrow evening at the Houghton High School auditorium. Doctor Ciupak has built an academic career studying and developing programs centered around grief, death, and bereavement. During the program, she will share different types of loss and grief, and delve into subjects around a balanced approach to grieving. Omega House executive Director Mike Lutz encourages those currently grieving the loss of a loved one, caregivers working in hospice care, and medical professionals to join Dr. Yan Ciupak and Omega House for the presentation. The event is free to attend and will include exercises, hands-on activities, and a question-and-answer session with Ciupak.
