NPS Isle Royale Reveals the 2024 Summer Artists in Residence

Isle Royale National Park reveals this year’s artists and teen artists in residence for the summer. The National Park Service each year invites artists to capture Isle  Royale’s majesty. This year the park service will invite three artists and two teen artists to the island for two to three weeks. While there they will explore the island and capture the park’s unique landscape, animals, and plants.

Jennifer Manella, a printmaker from Pennsylvania, dancer Sofie van Doorn from Texas, and watercolor gouache artist Teagan white from Oregon will travel to Isle Royale in the summer as the 2024 artists in residence. Teen artists Caroline Haung from California and Adeline Mulder from Michigan will also join them on the island. In addition to the artists announced for the program, the National Park Service included five alternates and five alternates for the teen artists.

The Isle Royale Artists in Residence program is sponsored by the National Parks Service, the Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association and the Copper Country Community Arts Center.
