The Upper Peninsula Cyber Security Institute (UPCI) at Northern Michigan University will host the first Cyber Security Symposium at the end of August. The symposium will bring together state, federal and private cyber security leaders to the area to discuss a variety of topics around being safe in an increasingly online world. UPCI has made the event free to participants, thanks to funding from the state’s Department of Technology, Management and Budget, as well as the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The Upper Peninsula Cyber Security Symposium will include a variety of workshops, small group discussions, and lectures. NMU’s Cyber Security Symposium will be august 30th to September 1st.
