Northern Michigan University Invites Milton Chen to Speak at the 2024 Spring Commencement Ceremony

George Lucas Educational Foundation leader, Milton Chen has been invited to Marquette to deliver an address to Northern Michigan University’s graduates. Northern Michigan University has invited Milton Chen, Senior Fellow and Executive Director for the GLEF to speak at the 2024 Spring commencement ceremony. Chen will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Education degree from the university. As executive director for the George Lucas Educational Foundation between 1998 and 2010 Chen helped lead the development and expansion of the Edutopia.org website for innovative k to 12 education programs. He has also worked closely with the At Sesame Workshop on Sesame Street, The Electric company, and 3-2-1 Contact. Chen holds a bachelor of social studies from Harvard College and a doctorate in communications from Stanford University.
