No Injuries Reported in Either Deer-Vehicle Accidents in Ontonagon County

Ontonagon County sheriff responds to two traffic accidents involving deer yesterday. Early in the morning Wednesday a male driver was traveling west on M-38 near Daniels Road. A deer entered his path, and the driver was unable to avoid hitting the animal. Causing moderate damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Ontonagon County sheriff’s deputies were able to have the vehicle removed from the scene. Then in the evening, a female driver was traveling east on m 28 near Ewen, when she also struck a deer. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the deer as it entered her path. Minor damage was reported to the vehicle, and no injuries to the driver. The Ontonagon County sheriff would like to remind drivers to slow down and keep an observant eye on the road. Especially when snow may blow and may cause limited visibility.
