New left turn light being installed on M-26

There is already a traffic light at Memorial Drive and Razorback Drive in Houghton, but work planned for next week will enhance its capabilities. Michigan Department of Transportation crews will be intermittently closing parts of the five lane road to install a new left-hand turn signal at the intersection.

A new signal controller, left turn phasing, and traffic detection camera will be implemented as well. Work starts Monday, May 3rd and should be completed by Thursday, May 6th.
