MSP Wakefield is investigating a missing person report for a Joseph Bittner in Ontonagon Township. Bittner’s family last saw him on Wednesday, at around 9:30 am at his residence on Lakeshore Drive. He is described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, with dark hair that is graying. Bittner was last seen wearing jeans and a dark t shirt. He had left on his four-wheeler for a nearby camp for some work. When he did not return, his family filed a missing persons report. His four-wheeler was found located near the driveway leading to 13820 Lakeshore Drive shortly after first responders began their search. The search was paused at around 10 pm last night due to conditions, and dying light. Search efforts have begun again this morning. Bittner is described as having a medical condition that requires medication. And it is unknown if he has his medication with him.
