Michigan State Police UPSET Team arrests a 55-year-old Atlantic mine man for intent to deliver and possession of methamphetamine. On Friday the MSP UPSET drug enforcement team concluded an investigation that led to the arrest of an Atlantic Mine man. The suspect will face three charges related to delivering methamphetamine, and one charge for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. UPSET officers with MSP Calumet Post troopers and Houghton County sheriff deputies arrested the Atlantic mine man within the city of Houghton, with possession of 7 grams of methamphetamine. Following the arrest a warrant was obtained to search the suspect residence. Police seized evidence of drug use and paraphernalia. The Atlantic mine man has been lodged in the Houghton County jail pending arraignment in the 97th district court. No names have been released at this time.
