MSP Calumet Reports Fatal Motorcycle – Car Crash in Copper City

Michigan State Police report a fatal accident occurred recently in Copper City. On August 29th troopers from the MSP Calumet post responded to a fatal crash on Copper City road in Calumet township. Troopers say that a 27-year-old male on a dirt bike was crossing the center line and struck an oncoming jeep driven by a 45-year-old male. The 27-year-old man was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing. Troopers were assisted by the Keweenaw County Sheriff, aluminum police, and Mercy EMS.
