Memorial Day weekend includes some major milestones for local area students. This weekend more than 380 students will move on to entering the workforce, head off to college, or even a trade school. The largest graduating class in the Copper Country comes from the Houghton High School with 100 students in the class of 2024. Chassell schools will include the smallest class size in the area with 10 seniors moving onto the stage. Calumet High School will send off 77 seniors, while just north the Horizons Alternative High School will graduate 14 students. Many graduation ceremonies will start this evening at 7 pm, while some schools will hold graduation tomorrow afternoon.
