With Mother’s Day fast approaching the best gift for mom might be a night off. Mom Prom Keweenaw will return to the Rozsa Center on Friday. Just in time for Mother’s Day weekend too. Marketing Coordinator Jenn Wall says that the fundraising event helps allow mom to blow off some steam, and have some fun with friends on the dance floor.
“You know, the DJ kind of goes with whatever vibe. A lot of us are middle-aged, so that would put our dance music in the 90s and 2000s. But we also play some current hits, and yeah, just anything that would keep the dance floor full is, I think, the DJ’s goal.” – Jenn Wall, Marketing Coordinator, Mom Prom Keweenaw
Mom prom Keweenaw partners with UP Kids to raise funds for adoptive families in the community. In total, the event has raised close to 25,000 dollars to support adoptions and travel expenses.
