MNA and Michigan LEO Announce 1.2 Million in Grants Awarded to 60 Upper Peninsula Non-profits

The Michigan Non–profit Association awards 1.2 million dollars in grants to non-profits in the Upper Peninsula. The MNA and Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity recently announced the grantees of the MI Non-profit relief fund’s Upper Peninsula awards. The Mi Non-profit relief fund will award grants ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 dollars to 60 non-profits in the region. The grant will support several small non-profits in the Copper Country, including 11 groups in Houghton County, two in Ontonagon County, and one in Keweenaw County. The MI non-profit relief fund was started in February this year and consists of 35 million dollars, that will go on to support various small non-profit organizations serving communities throughout Michigan. The grant awards are a one-time funding source per organization and focus on supporting groups in areas most affected by the covid 19 pandemic. Eligible non-profits are registered 501 c 3 organizations with an annual revenue of less than one million dollars.
