Missing Ontonagon boat found in Houghton County

Early Wednesday morning, the Ontonagon Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a missing boat. The watercraft had been tied up at Hamilton’s Marina on the Ontonagon River the prior evening.

A notice went out to be on the lookout for the vessel, and it was discovered Thursday washed ashore near Calumet Township. The United States Coast Guard noted that no one was on board when their patrol came across the boat. The investigation is still active.
