Michigan Tech has 1,388 new faces joining campus this fall. They join the university’s campus, adding to a student population now just over 7,000 strong. With the addition of the incoming class and last year’s record breaking incoming enrollment, are the two largest since 1984. With more than twenty one hundred women currently enrolled, making up 30% of the student population, the university’s most ever in attendance. The school’s minority student population also grew, now making up 11.5% of students. The university has also accepted it’s largest class of incoming graduate students since 2018. Michigan Tech’s fastest growing colleges for both undergrads and graduates are computing and health informatics.
