A 100,000 dollar donation enhances student learning space for Michigan Technological University’s Chemical Engineering program. Recently the Michigan Technological University’s chemical engineering program received a 100,000 dollar donation from CITGO that directly enhances the Senior Design Studio space for students. The donation was driven by Michigan Tech alumnus and CITGO President and CEO Carlos E Jorda. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the enhanced space was held with CITGO executives, students, and faculty in September. These renovations to the senior design studio will help chemical engineering students gain real work experience through projects and research in a state-of-the-art design studio that offers vital hands-on learning to students.
