No one wants to think about snow right now. Unless it’s the snow statues and fun that come along with Michigan Tech University’s Winter Carnival. Winter Carnival’s sponsor Blue Key has recently announced the festival’s theme along with a brand new logo for 2024. This year the university’s campus will celebrate From Forests to Shores, We Love the Outdoors as the theme. The logo design features a husky standing on top of a rock surrounded by the forest and nearby river, with the ever-enchanting northern lights depicted above. The design even features the upper peninsula’s shape mapped among the stars. This year’s Winter Carnival logo was designed by Connor Anderson. Organized by Blue Key National Honor Society since 1934, this year marks the carnival’s 102nd year, after being established in 1922. Winter Carnival takes place February 7th through the 10th, after students return from winter break.
