It’s the first day of school for Michigan tech university’s students. Some are working toward their final semester of graduate studies, while others are just beginning their journey toward becoming a husky alumni.
Construction work on campus continues for a new alumni gateway. The arch is located near the alumni house off of college avenue. The university anticipates work is completed sometime in October. The archway celebrates the university’s many alumni. With construction still underway, the university is offering engraved pavers for the site to alumni interested in leaving their mark on campus. The alumni gateway pavers will be placed, surrounding the archway.
All proceeds from the alumni pavers, will support the Alumni Way fund. Which is used by the university to maintain various features around campus such as the husky stature and clock tower.
Alumni pavers for the new West Alumni Gateway on Michigan Tech University’s campus are available until Thursday.
