Michigan Tech Students to Enjoy an Afternoon on the Town on Saturday

Now that Michigan Tech’s students are settled in this weekend sounds like a great time for an afternoon on the town.

Afternoon on the Town is an annual event the university hold each year, to help freshmen, and incoming students learn more about the local community they share for nine months of the year. Students are invited to explore Houghton, starting on campus, and heading west toward downtown. There huskies will find music, refreshments, and prize giveaways from local businesses. Conveniently the university has included an online map showing this year’s participating organizations, and groups and where each can be found during the event.

Students will need their IDs to use at both TAP stations. The first station will be located on the North side of the Memorial Union Building. The second tap station will be located at the end of the route, in front of the Quality Inn and Suites.
