Michigan Tech Students are Constructing Our Lady of the Snows

The annual ice mass at St. Albert the Great Parish on Michigan Tech’s campus will take place this Friday and Saturday. Construction of the Our Lady of the Snows Chapel has begun. And students have been working hard to complete the structure, going all out for decorating and shaping the space. This year’s chapel includes an alter made completely out of ice from Lake Superior, stained glass inspired ice windows and even a hand carved confessional made of snow. The first mass service at Our Lady of the Snows with the St. Albert the Great Parish of Michigan Tech begins at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, as well as at 10 a.m. on Saturday. St. Albert the Great Parish does have a online streaming option for those that can not make it in person. The parish also  suggests to arrive early as the chapel does fill up quickly.
