Michigan Tech promotes three staff members to assistant dean of Student Affairs positions. The Michigan Technological University’s Office of Student Affairs recently promoted Rob Bishop, Anna McClatchy, and Laura Putwen to the role of Assistant Dean. Each will specialize in a different aspect of student affairs to more appropriately help students achieve success on campus.

Rob Bishop will specialize in student conduct and manage student reinstatement statuses.

Anna McClatchy will take on chairperson roles with the Academic Intervention Team and Commencement Committee, as well as facilitate academic appeals at the end of each semester.

Laura Putwen will act in the role of community conduct, chairing the Academic Intervention Team and a second, yet-to-be-named, committee, to assist students with organizing demonstrations and protests on campus. She will also assist with Crisis management practices for the university.

All three assistant deans of student affairs will retain their current director duties.
